English is one of the most important languages in the world. It is an official language of over sixty countries in the world. Moreover English is the most commonly used language among foreign language speakers. Throughout the world, when people with different languages come together they commonly use English to communicate. Consequently, it's important to learn and be able to use it.
Unit 1: Short storyI had done something terrible and cruel to him. Something that i couldn't be forgiven. And now i deserved the punishment for the sin i did.
1.What specific language skills did you learn in this unit?
-I learned how to use figures of speech. 2.What specific language skills did you have to improve in? -I have to improve how to use a punctuation correctly. 3.What does conflict teach us about ourselves -It teaches us that we have to leave our painful past behind and just do the best on everyday. Unit 4: News writting1.How can print media influence individual perception?
- Print media can persuade people really easily. By writing only a few words, people can easily change their mind. 2.What have you learned from this unit? I learned how to do a good lay-outing and I also improved my computer skills by using some application that I had never used before. 3..What language skills you have to work on? I have to improve how to use a proper sentence to interview people. Unit 6: Research Report
1.How does writing a research paper improve language skills?
-There are a lot of types of writing and writing a research paper is one of them. Each type of writing improves different language skills. In writing a research paper, I learnt how to write correct references, quotation, and also learnt the format of research report. 2.What have you learned from this unit? -I learned that to write a good research report, I have to be really interested in that topic. 3.What language skills you have to work on? I have to work on the way I paraphrase sentences. |
Unit 2: Film and drama1.What have you learned from this unit?
I learned how to make a short film such as writing a scrip, using a camera ,making a movie poster ,and editing and I also learned how to perform on stage ,use the light ,and acting. 2.How do themes in drama/film reflect real life? -taboo. It reflects real life that some people when they are in troubles ,they don't know how to cope with them so it ends up that they do something bad such as committing suicide. -stage acting.It represents thai social issue (a beggar) and shows how people act to beggars. 3..What language skills you have to work on? I have to learn some slangs and some phrases more. Unit 5: Public Speaking and Debate1.How can public speaking used as a tool for social change?
-People use speaking to persuade others and it can change people's point of view. The example is Barack Obama, the president of united state, who successfully used his speaking to persuade people to elect him as a president. 2.What have you learned from this unit? I have learned that speaking is not only important in our daily life but it also can persuade people really easily. 3.What language skills you have to work on? I have to learn how to pronounce some words properly. Moreover I have to learn how to write a good note for speaking. |
