Social problems and solutions
We created a poster showing the problems in Thai society. We decided to use a lion and mice as our symbols. While the lion represents thai society which is tied by many different problems, the mice represent the solutions. We see the problem in a family as the main problem causing more problems in the society. In this project, it allows me to deeply analyse many problems in thai society, and actually learns from it in order to avoid and fix the mistakes we did.
Social structure
We were divided in groups and got to interpret different news. In my groups, we got the news about the misbehaviour of a Thai monk. Therefore, many people were upset about him, and tried to kick him out. We had a chance to identify the root cause of the problem, as well as the solutions to the problem.
Laws in everyday's life |
In this unit, we have learnt about laws which commonly relate to our daily life, such as giving a name, and buying goods. We had a chance to create our own TV program on a specific topic we got. My group got the topic about the difference between redemption and normal selling. From this project, we gained more knowledge by doing a research and we got to use new technology to create our creative original TV program. The main problem we faced was the miscommunication. However, we tried to learn from our mistake and fixed what we had done wrong.

Unit3: Laws
The topics we have covered include criminal law, taxation, international agreement, human rights, and consumer protection law.
In this work, I have a chance to look through real life evidences. We formed a group of four people to work on this project. It's really important for learners to actually apply what they have learnt in daily life, so this project is really significant. Firstly, we found news and read it from internet. Then we tried to identify how people in the news are treated inappropriately, and which human rights can be related to it. We created the poster to illustrate our information and we also identified possible causes and consequences of this event.

Unit4: Universal ethic
We have a chance to think of a person we believe is a "good" person. Each person's view towards "goodness" is different, so it's difficult to know exactly what is "good." People from different parts of the world can have totally contrasting way they think about good people. In this unit, we've learnt about universal ethic which can be applied globally, regardless of ethical and cultural differences.
We have a chance to think of a person we believe is a "good" person. In my opinion, I' am not really sure what exactly is good, because personally i believe that ethics are created by humans not by nature. However, I chose a person who worked for the society, because she sacrificed herself for the sake of other people without wanting something in return. I also have a chance to share my person with other classmates and I found out that most people's view towards goodness is quite similar.

Thai costume from recycle materials
In this project, I have helped others buying black plastic bags to used as a bottom. Then I went to my friend's house and help others creating a recycling thai costume. My tasks were to tear newspaper into pieces, to stitch a button with the top, and stick pieces of newspaper to fabric. From doing this project, I have learnt how to work with other people. I leant the significance of reusing things that we didn't use anymore. I have combined thai culture with the work. Lastly, I also had a chance to use my creativity and gain my skills.
In addition, we can also connect our project to school's ESLOs. We created our original costume by using innovative ideas. We also learnt from our mistakes and used them to improve ourselves. Moreover, we learnt how to be a leader by doing the thing that is beneficial. |
Creating a product that represents Thailand
In this quarter, I've learnt about thai culture and traditional products from Thailand. Firstly, we watched a music video, ออเจ้าเอย, and tried to point out things that represent "Thailand." Then we started to research more about each point that we are interested in. Lastly, we created a product, according to our knowledge.
From doing this project, I got a chance to use my own idea to create a product that integrates both thai tradition and international cultures. We also presented our product in a way that helps viewers realise the importance of our thai cultures. In this course, I feel that it was really organised and it made me want to improve myself and be more organised. I not only learn according to the "book" but also learn how to apply our knowledge in my life. |
